New Hope, PA
Burgers in New Hope, at the south end of Main.
Maybe you drove in for the day, maybe you live here and it's a Thursday. Either way you want lunch that isn't a compromise. We're the small white clapboard place with the red door at the bottom of Main Street, and we've been cooking burgers here since 2021. Counter service, butcher-block tables, parchment rolled out, jazz on the wall over your head.

Where We Are
The south end of S. Main Street.
137 S. Main Street, New Hope, PA 18938. Main runs south from the bridge and we're near the far end of it, past the Bucks County Playhouse and past most of the foot traffic. Look for a small white clapboard building with a red door, flower boxes and a brick stoop, with red umbrellas over a small seasonal patio when the weather cooperates.
Parking is street parking along Main plus a public lot close by. New Hope gets busy on weekend evenings and in peak season, so give yourself a few extra minutes to find a spot. Plenty of people driving in from Doylestown, Solebury and the rest of Bucks County park once and walk the whole street. Once you're inside it's counter service: order at the counter, take a seat at a butcher-block table, and your food comes out on parchment.

What to Order
Start here.
Everything's cooked to order on a brisket-chuck-short-rib blend, with brioche buns and sauces made in house. It takes a few minutes. That's the point.
- The Burgerly
- The one the place is named for. Savory onions, extra sharp American, house sweet pickles, burger sauce, brioche.
- The Wonderful
- Savory onions, 'mazin mushrooms, Havarti, house Canadian bacon, sweet onion aioli, spicy Bootstrap BBQ. It's a lot, on purpose.
- New Hope For Chicken
- Panko crusted chicken, house Canadian bacon, Havarti, sweet pickle, hot sauce aioli, brioche. Named for the town, obviously.
- Dam Dog
- A split and griddled quarter-pound dog. Named for the New Hope dam, not the language.

While You're Here
Make a day of it.
Lunch is an hour. The town is a whole afternoon. Here's where we'd point you, and our guide to both towns has the rest.
Walk the canal towpath
The towpath sits a block from our front door — crushed red stone, the Delaware on one side and the canal on the other. Head north and you're at the bridge in a few minutes.
Read the guide →Catch something at the Playhouse
Bucks County Playhouse sits a few blocks north of us in a 1790 grist mill on the river, and it's been a working theater since 1939. Whatever's running is usually the right answer.

What plays in here is a record collection across four decades, and it lives on Spotify. Sinatra into Luther into Black Coffee, depending on the hour.

We don't claim it. They do.
