You're on the Lambertville side and you want a burger. Walk to the end of Bridge Street, cross the New Hope–Lambertville bridge, turn south onto Main and keep going. About five minutes later you're standing in front of a small white clapboard place with a red door, and that's us. These are sister river towns, and the bridge is the shortest part of the trip.

Across the bridge, at the far end of Main.

The New Hope–Lambertville bridge is the walking connection between the two towns, and it's the whole commute. From Bridge Street, cross into New Hope, turn south onto Main and stay on it. We're at 137 S. Main Street, New Hope, PA 18938 — white clapboard, red door, flower boxes and a brick stoop, with red umbrellas over a small seasonal patio when the weather allows.

If you'd rather drive over, there's street parking along Main plus a public lot close by. New Hope gets busy on weekend evenings and in peak season, so give yourself a few extra minutes to find a spot. Most days the walk is faster. Inside it's counter service — order at the counter, sit down at a butcher-block table, and your food arrives on parchment rolled out fresh for the seating.

Worth the walk.

Chef Mark McLean grinds a brisket-chuck-short-rib blend, seasons it with salt and nothing else, and makes the sauces in house. Brioche on top, parchment underneath.

The Burgerly: The house cheeseburger. Savory onions, extra sharp American, house sweet pickles, burger sauce, brioche.
Chicken Flew Southwest: Fried marinated chicken breast, spicy serrano pepper honey ranch, Muenster, pickled onions, avocado salsa, brioche.
The Most Amazing Cheesesteak Ever: Smoked jerk or BBQ chicken, Havarti and Muenster, savory onions, sweet onion aioli. A distinctly Burgerly take on the Philly one.
Seasoned Fries: Skin on, double fried, pink sea salt, herbaceous finish. Get them for the table.
